Among the vitamins that contain this food group is beta-carotene; the baby needs for the development of cells and tissues, vision and immune system.

Vitamin C provides strength for bones and teeth, as well as for the manufacture of collagen in your connective tissue; potassium helps to control blood pressure; and folic acid helps prevent neural tube defects.

The fiber in the fruit and vegetables provides many benefits to the body, including the proper functioning of the intestines. Be careful when consuming raw vegetables, extreme caution when washing to avoid any kind of germ.

Whenever possible, you should eat 3 servings of fruit and 3 of vegetables a day, cabbage, carrot, papaya, mango, grapes and apple is recommended.
